Hi, I'm Rob, the maker behind Dixon Woodworking.

What started as one simple question—"Do you think you could build that?"—became the passion that changed my life.

The Beginning

Woodworking wasn't always part of the plan. After a big-box store damaged my beloved Audi, I finally bought the truck I'd wanted for years. Around the same time, Lindy and I had just gotten married after reconnecting 14 years after we first met. Life had taken us both in different directions, but we found our way back to one another.

One Project Changed Everything

Lindy showed me a simple storage rack she'd found online—just a few 2×4s. She asked if I thought I could build one.

"I think I can."

That one project changed everything. Within a week, I'd bought an old used saw on Facebook Marketplace, made my first trip to the lumber yard, and built that storage rack. Then another. Then another.

What started as one project has become a passion I never expected to find.

Our Mission Today

Today, our garage has become a workshop. We've built a community of people who appreciate thoughtfully handcrafted furniture and home décor made with carefully selected hardwoods right here in Deer Park, Washington.

Every piece we create carries the same care and intention as that first storage rack. We're grateful for every person who's chosen to bring a piece of Dixon Woodworking into their home.
